The Ramasubban group was founded by late Sri.S.Ramasubban in 1957 mainly supplying provisions to all the then united Yugoslavian vessels arriving at Madras Port. We still maintain the same cordial business relation by supplying the present Slovenian & Croatian owned vessels. In 1963 the group had absorbed K.Damodaran & Company, a company listed by the Madras Dock Labour Board, licensed by the Chennai Port Trust to supply labour for maintanance works and diversified into the activities of Chipping, Painting, Tank, Cargo holds cleaning on board the vessels of Foreign & Indian owned.


The company has modernised the manual chipping works by doing sand/quartz blasting, pneumatic chipping, airless painting of main decks, holds, tanks etc with latest equipments since 1989. Servicing of liferafts, fire extinguishers refilling of all gases, rewinding of motors, laundry, upholstry works were also under taken for the past two decades.
